Swim Meet Portal

Run your swim meet from the deck.

Coaches scratch and declare finals from their phones. Officials call DQs on a tablet at the end of the lane. Families see who made finals as it happens. The SMP Bridge keeps all of it in step with Meet Manager, so nobody types anything twice.

Creating a meet is free. A license starts at $25 per session.

Easy to use

Nothing to install, and nothing new to learn at the table.

Coaches and families only need a link and a phone. The Bridge keeps everything straight behind the scenes.

The Bridge does the typing

Entries come in from Meet Manager, and scratches, finals scratches and DQs go back. No merge files, no second keyboard.

Just a phone

Coaches and families open it in the browser. There is no app to download, and added to the home screen it opens like one.

No passwords for swimmers

A swimmer signs in with a USA Swimming ID and a last name. At college and high school meets, a name and a birth date.

Your Meet Manager file comes first

Heats, lanes and seeding are always Meet Manager's. Where something differs, SMP points it out and leaves the decision to you.

A checklist to set up

The Pre-Meet Checklist on the Dashboard shows what is done and puts the next step on top, so a first-time host knows where they are.

Help on every page

Need Help? opens the full guide and the SMP Assistant, which answers questions about your meet in plain words. A real person is a ticket away.

Score projections New

Know the team race before the first heat.

Projections works out the team scores to expect, using your meet's own Meet Manager scoring rules: from the psych sheet before the meet, after prelims once the finals are set, and live as events are scored.

Think a swimmer will drop time, or scratch? Drag the order around and switch between With your changes and Without to see what it does to the standings. Reset all puts it back.

Projections are estimates from seed times, prelim results and the meet's point table. They are not official results or scores.

Live finals scratch status New

Who made finals? Everyone can see it as it happens.

After prelims, Live Results shows each final as it stands right now: who scratched, who declared an intent to scratch, and who moved up into the field. Families stop asking the coach and stop crowding the board.

  • Public, with no sign-in and no app
  • Scratches and intents show up as coaches make them

Move-up alerts and swim-offs

Coaches hear about a move-up without hunting for it.

When a finalist scratches and the event's finals window has closed, the coach of the swimmer who moved up gets a push on their phone, and the swimmer does too if they have alerts on. A coach does not have to keep checking the board.

When prelims end in a tie at the finals line, the coaches of the tied swimmers get a swim-off notice asking them to see the Meet Admin. Once it is swum, the result goes back into Meet Manager through the Bridge.

How finals work

On the coach's phone

Finals placement changedEsme Vexley moved into B-Final in Event 7 (Girls 11 & Over 200 Breast).
Potential swim-off: see the Meet AdminEvent 7 (Girls 11 & Over 200 Breast): Marisol Everleigh tied for 8th in prelims with a swimmer from another team. The tie is for a place in the A final. Please come see the Meet Admin about a possible swim-off.

Made-up swimmers. Hosts choose on the Messages tab whether move-up alerts go out by themselves or wait for a look first, and each coach can switch them off.

Meet Form check New

A second pair of eyes on your meet form.

Upload the meet form PDF and SMP reads it for you. It points out the mistakes that slip through: a weekday that does not match its date, last year's date left in, dates that disagree with each other.

It compares the form with Meet Manager and lists what differs. Meet Manager stays in charge, so nothing is changed for you. Then it suggests SMP settings, each with the line from the form it came from, and you apply or skip each one.

Need Help? New

Answers inside the admin panel, at the moment you need them.

The Need Help? button sits at the top of every admin page. Type what you are stuck on and tips come up as you type. Browse the full guide by topic, or ask the SMP Assistant, which answers from the guide and knows the meet you are working on.

Still stuck? Send a help ticket from the same page and a person picks it up.

How a meet runs

Four steps, most of them done before warm-ups.

1

Create the meet.

Fill in the meet's name and how many sessions it has, and say what kind of meet it is. We approve a new account's first meet ourselves; once we know you, new meets open straight away. You get an admin code for the people helping you and a coach code for the visiting clubs.

  • The Pre-Meet Checklist, with the next step on top
  • Setup sheets for coaches and swimmers, with a QR code to scan or tap
  • A public page for the meet, in your colours, with its documents and Live Results
Setup, Config: the meet's settings one line each, with Meet Manager's name, dates and course
2

Bring in the entries.

Install the SMP Bridge on the Meet Manager computer and the entries, sessions, events and fee schedule arrive by themselves. Or upload the Hy-Tek files and skip the Bridge.

The Entries tab: scratch counts, what is already in Meet Manager, and each session's scratch deadline above its events
3

Run the meet.

Coaches scratch from their phones until each session's deadline. After prelims they scratch from finals or declare an intent, and everyone sees it live. Officials call DQs on deck. Every scratch and every DQ lands in Meet Manager through the Bridge.

  • Deadlines close on their own, to the minute
  • An admin can lock or override any decision
  • Everything is written to an activity log

4

Post the results and the reports.

Heat sheets, psych sheets and timelines print from the portal in Meet Manager's own layouts, and official results once Meet Manager marks an event done. For a Southern California Swimming meet, the post-meet package SCS asks for is ready too.
